NSDAP Sympathie Necklace Hand-Cut Reichsmark Conversion
Interesting sympathie piece constructed from a German Reichsmark coin. The original coin has been carefully hand-cut to remove the field around the national eagle, leaving the eagle, wreath, and swastika motif suspended within the outer rim bearing the “Deutsches Reich 1936”
The work was clearly done by hand. The cut-out is clean and evenly executed, preserving the beaded border and lettering with minimal loss of detail. Considerable time and care would have gone into shaping and finishing the piece without damaging the central device.
Fitted with a suspension loop and chain.
