A very attractive and scarce pre-war German cavalry association badge produced for the 4th Waffentag of the Waffenring der Deutschen Kavallerie, held in Munich in May 1934. The badge features a finely detailed raised horse’s head to the center, surrounded by red, white and black enamel. The inscription reads “Waffenring der Deutschen Kavallerie”, with “München 4. Waffentag 1934” around the central medallion.
A particularly well-made piece with an impressive multi-piece appearance and excellent detail to the horse. Manufactured by the well-known firm Christian Lauer, Nürnberg.
The badge remains in very good condition with only minor age and wear. The enamel remains attractive and the central horse retains much of its original finish.
